About the Project & Schedule
Be a part of driving Thai Soft Power through the energy of youth short films.
Project Objectives
The Pattaya Short Film Festival Showcase 2025 aims to be a key platform for Thai youth nationwide to unleash their potential, create, and reach a global audience through the power of short films. We encourage participants to showcase their abilities, creativity, and fresh perspectives to drive Soft Power and build a positive image of Thailand on the international stage.
Topic 1: Thai Style, Our Way
Create stories that show how the new generation is a key force in driving Thailand's Soft Power by interpreting and presenting traditional culture from an exciting new viewpoint. Stories could be about presenting local food in modern ways on social media, designing fashion from Thai fabrics into cool streetwear, blending Thai music with international genres, adapting the art of Muay Thai into contemporary performances, or using digital media like games and animation to tell folk tales to the world. This is an opportunity to show how "Thainess" can grow and evolve creatively with the times.
Topic 2: The Subject That’s Not in the Textbook
Because some important lessons aren't taught in the classroom, your short film might just be a lesson for many others.
This topic offers you the chance to explore and convey stories that go beyond textbooks. These could be life lessons gained from direct experience, knowledge from local wisdom, skills acquired through hands-on practice, or concepts that broaden horizons and elevate self-development and society. Your short film is a powerful medium to inspire, spark ideas, and deliver true value to viewers, especially children and youth, allowing them to learn new things that cannot be found in books.
